Utah has five National Parks and forty-six State Parks filled with otherworldly landscapes to explore. There is also fantastic hiking, climbing, trail running, and mountain biking only minutes from the lab in the nearby Wasatch Mountains.

Salt Lake City is home to the Greatest Snow on Earth® and some of the best skiing in North America. The Winter Olympics will be hosted here (for the second time) in 2034! There are ten world-class resorts within a one-hour drive of the city.

Salt Lake City has a neighborhood feel with great restaurants, coffee roasters, independent bookstores and cinemas — even breweries and distilleries! There are lots of unique music and art festivals across Utah. Salt Lake is also home to the beautiful Red Butte Garden, the Utah Symphony, Ballet West, and several sports teams.
